Fox 2 + Hellium Balloon ACEO - New Art

Hello lovelies,
It's art time again!! Just a little piece this time, and a new ACEO print as well. First, let me unveil a new fox painting- "Fox 2"- a galaxy-inspired grey fox who is just super curious (and also cute as a button!) This original painting is 5" x 7" on a canvas panel, painted in acrylics. He is up for sale in my still-new Amazon Handmade shop- please check out the listing if you have any interest in owning him! Clicking on the picture or the link below to see the listing!

In addition to "Fox 2", I have a brand new ACEO print just released! "Hellium Balloon" had been sitting in one of my sketchbooks for awhile, until I painted him on canvas for a friend's birthday gift this December. He came out so awesome, I thought I'd add him to the ACEO roster. So, here he is- a 2-sided Art Card Print, up for auction on eBay (starting at $2)- click on the picture or the link below it to see the auction, and perhaps place a bid:

SO, that's what I have this week! I'm hoping to have another new something-or-other to share next week, and in the meantime, please come back tomorrow for Thursday's comic post!

Animal Clouds- an Art post

This is an art post, no comic today, I apologize. I haven't been feeling very funny lately, I guess. But I do have this out of control doodle art to show you! "Animal Clouds" is an original cartoon doodle/illustration. It is cute and also slightly unnerving, which makes it one of my favorites :) Measures 9" x 12", archival inks on bristol. This piece is currently up for auction on eBay (click the picture or the link below to see the auction):

"Animal Clouds" original illustration Hoping to get back into the comics in a more regular fashion, though I have not felt like drawing myself/people, so there might be a lot more animal character comics instead. In the meantime, please feel free to support my art in any way you see fit- sharing, buying, commenting, bringing food to my workspace, things of this nature :D

Harpies with Sharpies (and a little clown)

Heeeyyy...
Slacking on the comics, which seems to be the norm of late...just have not felt all that funny. I do, however, have a brand new illustration- "Harpies with Sharpies", and a cute little clown ACEO original as well!

"Harpies with Sharpies": I like to rhyme things, it brings me endless amusement. It is amazing to me that something as simple as two words could produce enough inspiration for me to create a whole picture, with colors and everything! :0 I like that I got to draw something mythical and something modern in one rhyme. I like that I got to draw some boobs. I like that no Sharpies were injured in the making of this illustration. I like that other than for visual reference, I did not actually USE a single Sharpie to draw this. Geeze, the dork is strong with me today.

These lovely feathered ladies are an original pen and ink (Prismacolor and sakura) illustration, 8.5" x 11", on bristol; signed and stuff. Currently up for auction on eBay at the link below the picture:

Annnnd, I have a clown ACEO up for auction as well..."Clown #1"- auction is at the link:

Probably keeping this one for my personal collection if it does not go at auction this round. Fair warning.

Now...I'm going to go brainstorm some comics that may or may not be good enough to make it past chicken scratches in my sketch book...

Don't forget that I have a website with a shoppppp!!!

Dorkling Art Hour- critters and rambling...plus a work in progress!

It's Art Time, y'all! You will get a comic later this week, I swear it! For now, though, you will have to indulge in some cartoon-y, lowbrow, giggle-inducing critters! Let me introduce you to "Mel"- Mel is a lone jellyfish, based on my older "Kellie, Ellie, and Nellie" Cartoon Aquarium painting, which was so much fun to paint, I thought I'd make some more!
"Mel" is a small 5" x 7" acrylic painting on a canvas panel- he is available for purchase through my etsy shop (just click on the link below, or the picture):

Now, I know I paint a lot of sea creatures. I don't know why, really, I just do. Some things are just better left to mystery. Of course, from time to time I also paint OTHER critters, such as "Gurble":

"Gurble" original monster art

This rabid little monster is one of my favorites, and always makes me laugh...especially when I am in the studio working on something frustrating. I look up, and he is there, making the same faces and noises that I am...He is also available for purchase at the link above :)

I recently drew this in my sketchbook:

I decided this morning that it needs to be a painting. So, that's happening now- a few work in progress shots for ya:

Weee!! I love to paint. I mean, I love my pens and my markers, but sometimes I can't do what I want with them. This is what I'm up to. Don't worry, I did go outside today :P
I suppose I should also tell you to stay tuned for some more work in progress pics and the final painting...and the comic, of course!
